We
now have our very own voice chatroom; The Roar Lounge. Come on in and say
Hi. First you need to download
the Ventrilo Chat Client
Once you unzip the file run the installation. When the program has been installed
1. open the program 2. say no to the update prompt 3. click on setup 4. go to
the 'global' tab and uncheck the 'check for updates' box and click on 'ok' 5.
click on the 'user' button and enter a username of your choice... 6. click on
the server button and enter the following without the quotes 'The Roar Lounge'
7. click o.k. and enter the host name exactly as follows without the quotes 'jimfidler.homelinux.com'
8. and click on 'o.k.' 9. Click 'connect' and you're in.
Note: if you're using
a firewall or router, make sure that TCP/IP port 3784 is open and that you're
speakers and microphone are connected. See you there!
